Privacy
perlepop uses no cookies, no tracking and no ads. Here is exactly what we measure and why.
In short
- No cookies, no local storage, no accounts and no logins.
- No advertising and no tracking across other websites.
- No comments and no uploads: nothing you type or create is sent to us.
- We count page views and a few actions, like PDF downloads, without knowing who you are.
Page views
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count how often each page is viewed and how fast it loads. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not build a profile of you. We only see totals, such as "the Christmas page was viewed 300 times this week".
Fathom Analytics
We also use Fathom Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, which site they came from and roughly which country and type of device they use. Fathom uses no cookies, collects no personal data and does not store your IP address, so it cannot recognise you or follow you to other websites. We only see totals.
Downloads, filters and search
When you download a PDF or use the filters, your browser sends us a short note: which page you were on, which pattern was downloaded, or which kinds of filter were used (for example "age" or "theme", not what you picked). We store only these counts. We do not store your IP address, your browser details or any identifier. We use the counts to see which patterns are popular and what to make next. The same counts – which pattern, which kinds of filter – also go to Fathom Analytics as anonymous events.
When you search the pattern library, we count that a search happened and whether it found no patterns, a few or many – never the words you typed. They stay in your browser.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare has to handle your IP address to send you the page and to protect the site from attacks. We do not receive or store it.
